By car
From the South:
Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 36. Left onto the A591. After a few miles turn left onto the A590. Follow this road for approximately 18 miles, then at Greenodd turn right onto the A5092. Continue onto the A595 following signs to Whitehaven. After approximately 30 miles, you will come to Egremont. Do not take the first roundabout, instead go to the 2nd roundabout and take the 3rd exit up East Road ( near the Esso Garage). Follow East Road until the road bears to the right and follow signs to Ennerdale. Go down the hill, over the bridge and the cottage is just on the left.
From the North:
Leave the M6 Motorway at Junction 40. Turn right onto the A66 heading towards Cockermouth. At Cockermouth turn left onto the A5086 heading towards Egremont. At the roundabout in Egremont, take the 1st exit onto the A595 and at the next roundabout take the 1st exit up East Road (near the Esso Garage). Follow East Road until the road bears to the right and follow signs to Ennerdale. Go down the hill, over the bridge and the cottage is just on the left.
By train:
The nearest train station is St Bees which is approximately 5 miles away. Pick-up/drop off can be arranged if necessary.
